"Mr. Bean's" Rowan Atkinson gets 65-second divorce
One sympathetic judge granted the now ex-wife of "Mr. Bean" actor Rowan Atkinson a divorce in just 65 seconds.
The speedy split was granted on the grounds that Atkinson engaged in "unreasonable behavior" after he left wife Sunetra for a 32-year-old woman named Louise Ford, reports the Telegraph. Rowan was not present at the proceedings.
Rowan and Sunetra had been married for 24 years; Rowan, 60, left his wife for Ford, an actress, last year.
The court did not disclose exactly what the "unreasonable behavior" was, but a legal expert told the Telegraph that it is the most common reason for divorce in the U.K. He also pointed out that the divorce is not final until Sunetra applies for the decree absolute, which could take months.
