Mayim Bialik returns to set of "The Big Bang Theory"

(CBS News) Mayim Bialik returned to the set of CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" on Thursday, one day after suffering a car accident in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old actress tweeted a update on her health condition to fans:

The former "Blossom" star severely cut her hand and thumb in a collision on Wednesday. Police say Bialik was driving through Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue when another car made a left turn and hit her Volvo.

The three occupants of the other vehicle had minor injuries.

Bialik is nominated for an Emmy for playing Amy Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory."
