Kelly Preston: Scientology helped me overcome my son's death
(CBS) Kelly Preston says the Church of Scientology helped her cope after she and husband John Travolta lost their 16-year-old son, Jett, who suffered a fatal seizure in January 2009.
When asked how she got through tough times, Preston told Health magazine in its September issue: "Johnny is definitely my rock. Kirstie [Alley] is one of my absolute best friends. My mom, my brother. And to be honest, the Scientology center. I don't know if I would have made it through without it."

She added, about valuable lessons she's learned, "Don't sweat the small things. Love your kids like it could be the last moment."
Preston and Travolta are also parents to daughter Ella Bleu, 11, and son Benjamin, who was born last November.
"We had been trying for quite a few years, and then of course there was a time when we weren't, and then we started trying again," she explained. "When I found out I was pregnant, I was floored. I'd snuck out of bed and then came back and woke Johnny up in bed. We both started crying. It was wonderful."
The actress also said she appreciates motherhood now more than ever.
"I've always wanted to be a mother, ever since I was 11," she told the magazine, adding, "I'm just in a good place, and am able to really be with my kids. It's pretty amazing having a child at this age."
The September issue of Health magazine is on newsstands now.
