Jessica Simpson Sings Your Name

The ShowBuzz's Judy Faber researched and wrote this story.

Want to hear Jessica Simpson say your name? Now you can.

The sexy singer is inviting fans to purchase a personalized version of her song "A Public Affair" by logging on to Yahoo! Music beginning July 18 or www.jessicasimpson.com a week later.

After making their choice from a list of 500 names, fans will be able to immediately download a song that contains three personalized shout outs. If the person's name is very unique, songs will be delivered in approximately 1-3 weeks.

A sample of the customized cut can be heard on Simpson's MySpace page. The sample uses the name Tom — no doubt named for default MySpace friend and the site's founder Tom Anderson. The personalized song contains the lyrics "Hey Tom, I see you looking over here...Tom are you gonna keep looking or get up and talk to me?"

The video for the single is out on July 19 and features Simpson's pals Eva Longoria, Christina Milian and Christina Applegate making fun of themselves for being famous.

"There's a real funny dream sequence where Christina Milian and I are licking Andy Dick's face," Simpson told OK! magazine.

How's that for an image?

As previously reported on TheShowbuzz.com, Simpson is scheduled to co-host the Teen Choice Awards on Aug 20. She's also a nominee, as is her ex-husband Nick Lachey and his current flame, television personality Vanessa Minillo.

Simpson's album, also titled "A Public Affair," comes out Aug. 29.
