NEW YORK (CBS) Jerry Lee Lewis has just released a new studio album.

The rock 'n' roll legend known as "The Killer," who turns 75 on Sept. 29, unleashed a brand new album called "Mean Old Man" and says that he is not ready to retire.

"I could have retired a long time ago," the "Great Balls of Fire" singer tells USA Today. Lewis punches his fist in the air, "I keep rockin'!"

Although his musical prowess has not dwindled, in love he has a different tune. He tells the newspaper that he probably won't marry again, the rocker divorced his sixth wife in 2005.

His songs were once called "The Devil's Music" by social pundits and anti-Rock 'n' Roll critics, but Lewis says he's still "a religious man... I never lost my connection, and I'm looking forward to going to heaven." He adds, "I certainly hope they need a piano player."

And how will he ring in turning age 75 this month?

"Drunk!" he jokingly tells the newspaper. "No, I don't even drink. Don't smoke. My life is as clean as it can be. I'd rather be turning 73, but there's nothing I can do about that.

Lewis' new album "Mean Old Man" was released on Tuesday.
