House lawmakers who supported GOP health care bill get digital ad boost

The American Action Network (AAN), a conservative think tank, is giving House Republicans who supported the GOP health care bill a boost with a $250,000 digital ad buy that will run over the next two weeks.

The ads will promote the merits of the GOP's American Health Care Act (AHCA) and the House lawmakers who voted for its passage. The ads will run on online platforms including Google and Facebook in 25 congressional districts across the country, including those of House Speaker Paul Ryan, Reps. Kevin Brady, Ed Royce, Martha McSally, Greg Walden, and Steve Scalise, among others.

The buy complements a current national TV buy in 21 congressional districts. Since January, the group has spent $12.7 million on advertising to promote the GOP health care plan -- $2.7 million of that spending came after the House passage of the bill.

The ad calls the bill "a bold plan" and praises it for "eliminating Washington's expensive mandates, empowering states to reduce health care costs and protecting people with pre-existing conditions." Here's the ad:
