Florida man murdered while mowing lawn
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- A Florida man was fatally shot while mowing his lawn Tuesday, reports CBS Miami.
Grainy surveillance video from a neighbor's home shows what appears to be a scuffle after two people approached 61-year-old Curtis Smith in front of his Miami Gardens home.
Authorities say Smith ran out of the camera's view and was shot moments later. He died at the scene.
Investigators believe robbery may have been the motive. They do not have a clear description of the suspects.
At least three shots were fired, CBS Miami reports. Neighbor Ken Gray said he heard the shooting.
"He was cutting his grass as he often did on his days off. He was such a nice man," Gray said.
