Emma Watson talks life beyond "Harry Potter"
(CBS/AP) Emma Watson is preparing for life beyond "Harry Potter."
The actress, who played Hermione Granger in all eight "Potter" films, acknowledges that she needs to find her way out of the bubble, which she describes in part as the safe world of life on the set of the successful film franchise.
"I have had no control over my life," she told Vogue magazine in its July 2011 issue. "I have lived in a complete bubble. They found me and picked me for the part. And now I'm desperately trying to find my way through it."

The 21-year-old, who posed for the issue's cover with dark lipstick and slicked-back hair, told the magazine that she wants to explore more of her creative side, and cites Patti Smith as a role model.
"I want to live like Patti. I want to write like Patti," she said of the singer-songwriter, visual artist and poet, whose 2010 memoir "Just Kids" inspired her. "The book was so honest and brave. I loved the way she sees the world. I really felt that life was more beautiful after I read it, and I felt more hopeful."
Watson remains close with co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, and recently flew to New York to see Radcliffe perform on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."
Watson plays Granger for the last time when the franchise's last film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," is released in July.
Her next project is a role in the big-screen adaptation of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." The film is shooting in Pittsburgh and is scheduled to be released next year.
