Death of Florida woman found in apartment ruled homicide
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The death of a woman found dead in her downtown Orlando apartment has been ruled a homicide, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.
Police say that Sasha Samsudean, 27, was found dead Saturday evening in her apartment. She had arrived safely home Friday night after hanging out with friends, but when they could not reach her the next day, they reported her missing.
Police reportedly went to Samsudean's apartment Saturday and found her inside with no signs of forced entry.
A surveillance photo of Samsudean was released on Tuesday showing her inside of the apartment building at 1:45 a.m., according to the station.
Police say that the department is still waiting for autopsy results to determine exactly how Samsudean died.
A tenant told the station that his friend lives directly below Samsudean's apartment. He says that she told him she didn't hear anything Saturday morning.
Investigators are reportedly looking into all possible leads and are currently reviewing surveillance video taken from the apartment complex.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen Samsudean after 1:45 a.m. in her apartment building to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS or OPD Homicide at 407-246-2914.
