D'Angelo performs Prince tribute on "Tonight Show"
The tributes continue to pour in for late music icon Prince, and D'Angelo was one of the latest artists to throw his hat in.
The R&B singer performed a touching rendition of "Sometimes It Snows in April" on the "Tonight Show," along with Maya Rudolph and Gretchen Lieberum of the cover band Princess.
Host Jimmy Fallon tweeted ahead of the show that the tribute by D'Angelo would be "super-special," and the singer and Princess delivered. D'Angelo played the piano and sang as he wore a Prince-inspired outfit that included a fur vest, curls and a fedora.
Prince died on Thursday at the age of 57. Bruce Springsteen and the cast of "Hamilton" were just a few of the artists to honor the artist.
