Conrad Hilton III, grandson of Hilton Hotel founder, charged with domestic battery in Florida
(CBS) BOCA RATON, Fla. - Conrad Hilton III, a South Florida philanthropist who is a cousin of socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton, was arrested in Boca Raton Sunday and charged with domestic battery, CBS Miami reports.
Hilton, the 53-year-old grandson of the founder of the Hilton hotel chain, was at the restaurant Abe and Louie's when a police officer witnessed him stand up from a seated position at the bar and grab and push his girlfriend, according to a police report obtained by the station.
The girlfriend reportedly didn't want to talk to police about the incident and told them Hilton was a good man but was "slightly intoxicated."
Hilton, of West Palm Beach, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and later released on his own recognizance.
Hilton's father, hotel founder Conrad Hilton Jr., was briefly married to Elizabeth Taylor before his marriage to a Texas oil heiress, Patricia McClintock.
Conrad Hilton III lists his occupation as philanthropist and is on the governing board of the Conrad Hilton Foundation, according to its website.
