WASHINGTON - A former State Department tech specialist intends to plead the Fifth at an upcoming deposition next week. Bryan Pagliano who helped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton set up and maintain her private email server during her four years heading the department.

Yesterday lawyers for Pagliano also stated in a court filing that there is "no proper purpose" for an audio or video recording of the deposition because of his intention to assert his Fifth Amendment right by refusing to answer any questions presented from the conservative group Judicial Watch.

Although the former staffer was granted immunity from prosecution in the criminal investigation of Sec. Clinton's email server earlier this year, Pagliano previously agreed to cooperate with the FBI in its investigation. During Clinton's appearance on Face the Nation on March 6, 2016, Clinton told John Dickerson that she was "delighted" that Pagliano had agreed to cooperate.

"I'm delighted that he has agreed to cooperate, as everyone else has. And I think that we will be moving toward a resolution of this." The Democratic frontrunner stated.

Pagliano previously pleaded the Fifth during a hearing before the House Select Committee investigating Benghazi back in September 2015.
