Tulsa police say 32-year-old Denny Edward Phillips was shot three times Monday when he pointed a gun at officers. Authorities say he had been an early person of interest in the Oklahoma City deaths and was also wanted in the burglary of a Tulsa police detective's home.
The Oklahoma County prosecutor says Phillips has been sought since the discovery of the bodies of Brooke Phillips, a pregnant Nevada brothel worker who appeared in the HBO reality series "Cathouse," and three others - Mark Barrientos, Jennifer Ermey and Milagrous Barrera - on Nov. 9, 2009 by firefighters.
Another man, David Allen Tyner, has previously been arraigned in connection with the murders. Tyner is allegedly a member of a Native American gang called the Native Brotherhood. It was not immediately clear when Denny Edward Phillips might appear in court or if he had an attorney.
