Police: Man dies after push into Boston's Charles River
BOSTON - Authorities say a drunken fight Tuesday evening ended when a man was pushed into Boston's Charles River, ultimately leading to his death and the arrest of the man he was fighting with, reports CBS Boston.
Mitchell Harrison, 26, was rescued from the water but died from his injuries overnight at Brigham and Women's Hospital, according to police. The man he was allegedly fighting with, Lenny Quintero-Flores, 27, will be arraigned Wednesday and charged with manslaughter.
Investigators believe Harrison either fell asleep or passed out after fighting with Flores, who allegedly then pushed Harrison into the water, shortly before 5 p.m.
Harrison was pulled out of the river about 20 minutes later.
Flores was arrested nearby and initially charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.
