Alyssa Milano not returning to "Mistresses"
"Mistresses" will be back for a third season, but without star Alyssa Milano.
The actress took to her social media pages Wednesday to explain why she won't be returning to the ABC drama.
"After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of 'Mistresses' in Vancouver, Canada, for financial reasons. It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate," she wrote on her website.
Milano, who gave birth to her second child earlier this month, added, "I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away."
"I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best," she said.
She did not specify what would happen to her character, Savannah "Savi" Davis, now that she's departing the series.
Milano and husband David Bugliari are parents to daughter Elizabella Dylan, born Sept. 4, and 3-year-old son Milo Thomas. Her other acting credits include "Charmed," "Melrose Place" and "Who's the Boss?," which celebrated its 30th anniversary this month.
