Alabama woman and her alleged lover are charged in husband's murder
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - A woman and the man she was allegedly having an affair with were charged Wednesday in the murder of her husband, reports CBS affiliate WIAT.
Michael Earl Reese was found shot to death February 18, in the Morris, Ala., home he shared with Cindy Henderson Reese, who originally reported that she had arrived home from the grocery store and found the home in disarray.
Cindy Reese called police to check the residence and officers found Michael Reese dead in a rear kitchen of the home. When police arrived, they found no signs of forced entry into the home, and nothing was reported missing, reports AL.com.
Investigators say they have since determined that Cindy Reese, 40, was having an affair with Jeffrey David Brown, 36. Police say they murder Michael Reese so they could be together.
The suspects were taken into custody around 1 p.m. Wednesday as Brown was dropping Reese off from a lunch date, according to police.
Both suspects are being held on $100,000 bond.
