Accused rapist acted out "Fifty Shades"' scenes: cops
A 19-year-old man was charged with committing rape on the University of Illinois-Chicago campus and allegedly told police he had used "Fifty Shades of Grey" as an inspiration, reports CBS Chicago.
Mohammad Hossain faces a charge of felony aggravated criminal sexual assault and was ordered held on $500,000, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office said. He was still in custody late Monday.
Hossain allegedly sexually assaulted a female Saturday in a UIC dorm.
He later told investigators he was "acting out" scenes from "Fifty Shades of Grey," the state's attorney's office confirmed to CBS Chicago.
The recently released movie, based on an adult best-selling novel, features scenes of sexual bondage.
UIC students say they received email alerts about the alleged incident.
