GREENSBORO, N.C. Police say one person has been shot at North Carolina A&T State University, prompting a brief campus lockdown.
Greensboro Police Department said in a statement Saturday night that "one or more" suspects were firing guns near McCain Hall on campus when one of the rounds struck 21-year-old Divine Eatman.
A police statement said Eatman appeared to have serious, but non-life-threatening wounds, and that he was "a considerable distance" from the suspects when struck. He was taken to a hospital.
Greensboro and campus police responded to reports of the shooting about 10 p.m., prompting the lockdown. The university's website announced about an hour later that the lockdown had been lifted, but said "for increased safety" students should stay inside.
Police said they were seeking four suspects.
