The only son of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, Peter Mark Andrew Phillips, was born on November 15, 1977. The Queen's oldest grandchild, he is ninth in line to the throne. Princess Anne has worked hard to ensure that both her children lead normal lives. Neither has a title, since their father did not have one.
Peter's favorite sport is rugby. He played on the junior international Scottish Schools team and toured South Africa in 1996 for the Scottish rugby team. At the Gordonstoun school in Scotland, he was also involved in a fire brigade. He attends Exeter University's School of Education.
